As a Substitute Teacher youll play an important role in maintaining continuity in the classroom by following lesson plans supporting students and creating a positive learning environment when the regular teacher is absent.

As a Substitute Teacher you will:

• Follow teacher lesson plans and guide students through daily instruction
• Maintain a structured respectful and productive classroom environment
• Manage student behavior and keep students engaged throughout the school day
• Supervise students during transitions lunch and recess as needed
• Communicate effectively with school administrators and staff regarding student behavior or concerns

For long-term Substitute Teacher assignments additional responsibilities may include lesson planning and providing enhanced classroom support.

• Minimum of 60 college credit hours or an Associates Degree
• At least one year of childcare tutoring mentoring coaching or related experience preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Reliable adaptable and professional
