Position Title:Substitute K-5 Specially Designed Instruction Teacher

Reports To:Headmaster

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Hourly Rate:Starting at $30

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans for learning activities that align with individual student IEP goals that are created under supervision of a certified special education teacher or coordinator.

• Provide one on one or small groupspecially designed instructionin academics behavioral or social/emotional need areasfor students with IEPs based on IEP goals

• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring of students IEP goals

Required/Preferred Education:Bachelors degree and Arizona Teaching Certificates Substitute Special Education Teaching Certificate or Alternative Certification.

Required/Preferred Experience:

• 1 year of successful teaching experience (preferably in a K-12 school setting)

• 1 year of successful Special Education teaching experience (preferred)

• The ideal candidate has previous experience in Special Education.

Required/Preferred Skills:Certifications: Arizona Department of Education Substitute Certification Special Education Certificate in Cross/Categorical or Mild/Moderate; Alternative Teaching with approved area in Mild/Moderate Disabilities.

Physical Functions:Requires but is not limited to standing sitting repetitious hand and body movements bending squatting and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
