Job Description
Job Summary: Supervise and monitor children before school recess lunchtime and after school for purposes of safety and play in appropriate activities.
Reports to: Director of Extended Day Programs
Position: Part-time (6 hours per day maximum)
11:15am-1:15pm; 2:15pm-5:30pm
Essential Duties:
- Supervise children before school recess lunchtime and after school.
- Be a role model for sharing sportsmanship and general behavior.
- Teach children how to resolve conflict use words express their emotions and share.
- Nurture young children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
- Engage children in play activities.
- Sign children in and out as needed.
- Escort children to and from after-school programs as needed.
- Supervise meals and snacks.
- Support school values.
- Assist with carpool duties as needed
Qualifications
Knowledge Skill and Experience:
- Minimum education (or substitute experience) required: High School Diploma
- College graduate or current student in education field preferred
- Minimum experience required: 1-2 years working with children (ages 5-13)

Typical Working Conditions: Work outdoors (except for excessive heat or inclement weather days) constantly moving about among groups of children supervising play and initiating the same as needed.
Equipment Used: Sports balls board games Legos pencils art equipment coloring snacks.
