Job Summary
PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Student Worker could perform support tasks in a variety of settings and should provide a positive role model for students while gaining possible career path experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Current enrollment as a student at Walla Walla Public Schools.
- Model academic integrity and encourage a positive environment in all settings.
- Flexible schedule to work evening and weekend athletic events as needed.
- Support the shared goal of consistent high-quality customer service across all events.
- Operate the official game clock shot clock or scoreboard and maintain scorebooks as a Gameworker.
- Handle public address announcing or manage music and sound systems as a NWBD Broadcaster.
- Communicate regularly with respective supervisors.
- Follow instructions of supervisor and managers.
- Attend necessary training as directed by supervisors.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Blue Devil Northwest Broadcasting Supervisor Concessions Manager or Athletics Coordinator
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated competency in core-content subject areas (Math Reading Writing etc.) including integrated subjects like STEM.
- Strong interest in working with students in an educational setting and supporting student learning experiences.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written; strong interpersonal skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Strong interest in working with students and community in an extracurricular setting and supporting student experiences.
- At least 15 years of age.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written; strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service punctuality attendance and basic familiarity with Walla Walla Public Schools
