Work Schedule: Fall 2026/Ongoing
Desired Length of Employment: 10-20 hours per week primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $14-$17
Key Components:
- In a student employee capacity may perform or assist with functions around marketing trends communications outreach creative design and production (print and digital)
Job Description:
- The Marketing & Communications Student Worker will assist with a variety of marketing and communications projects including:
- Design graphics for social media email marketing presentations flyers brochures and other promotional materials.
- Assist with creating and scheduling content for social media platforms.
- Draft and edit website content newsletters blog posts and other written communications.
- Support photography and videography efforts for events trainings and organizational initiatives.
- Edit photos and videos for use across digital and print platforms.
- Assist with maintaining brand consistency across communications materials.
- Help prepare materials for conferences workshops meetings and outreach events.
- Conduct research on marketing trends communications best practices and audience engagement.
- Assist with updating and organizing marketing assets templates and digital files.
- Provide administrative support for marketing and communications projects as needed.
- Collaborate with staff to develop creative solutions that increase awareness of the Collaboratives programs and initiatives.
- Serve as a participant in a pilot student development program helping test and refine a new experiential learning model through active engagement feedback and participation in professional development opportunities focused on hunger relief and community impact.
- Contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts by identifying challenges testing processes documenting lessons learned and providing feedback to help shape and strengthen the student development program for future participants.
Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the Marketing & Communications department.
Qualifications
- Current Baylor University student pursuing a degree in Marketing Digital Marketing Graphic Design Communications or a closely related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Illustrator Photoshop) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Photography videography and video editing experience are a plus.
