Job Description:

Baylor Biology is seeking an undergraduate office assistant with design experience to assist with its website and social media platforms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting faculty staff students and guests; stocking office supplies; answering the telephone; collecting and distributing mail; and updating inventory spreadsheets and Box folders.

In addition this student may be asked to design original content or update existing materials including but not limited to slides posters or signs. The student must be an independent self-starter with a working knowledge of and experience with Canva PowerPoint and various social media platforms.

• Provide mid to advanced-level administrative and operational support for day-to-day tasks
• May serve as initial contact for in-person guests or callers; provide excellent customer service
• May generate prepare and analyze reports or perform forecasting
• May create creative content or maintain department website(s)
• May assist with special projects and initiatives supporting departmental goals
• May assist with planning or coordination of events
• May assist with identifying areas of improvement and recommending solutions
• May assist with compliance processes
• May assist with maintaining internal databases and records
• May assist with developing processes and procedures
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
• Ability to comply with University policies
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
