Student Tutor for the Tutoring & Learning Center
Responsibilities
Commit to the weekly in-person tutoring schedule agreed upon between the tutor and TLC staff Tutoring hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm. Tutor shifts are scheduled for a minimum of two hours. Complete all assigned training activities Promote the TLC Establish a friendly encouraging and welcoming environment for students Maintain a quiet workspace conducive to learning Adhere to all TLC and university policies and procedures Attend orientation and other meetings and trainings as scheduled Complete all assignments/documentation required by TLC and Payroll on time Up-to-date knowledge of tutored course(s) Tutor a diverse population of students with a variety of learning styles.
Required Qualifications
Faculty recommendation required to verify subject matter knowledge- A or A- in the course to be tutored. The recommendation form can be found here: 3.0 or better overall GPA Enter when postingEnter when posting
