This recruitment will be used to fill 10 part-time (maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Technical Assistant positions for the Department of Food Science and Technology at Oregon State University (OSU) in the OSU Creamery.
Completing orders in the retail shop including uniformed scooping baking waffle cones crafting milkshakes and other operational needs
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workspaces
Operating the point-of-sale system tracking orders and sales handling cash and interacting with customers
Assist with ice cream exchanges with the production plant and completing paperwork

- Experience with retail ice cream shops or retail sales
- Bilingual or multilingual
- Prior food service or other customer service experience
- Demonstratable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
Expected to work frequent evening and weekend hours as required to support production needs
Will be working in a fast-paced environment often required to lift more than 50 lbs
Lift push pull and carry items weighing 50-100 lbs repeatedly
May require walking standing bending and stooping for extended periods
May require working with or around cleaning chemicals
Required to attend staff meetings supervisory meetings and professional development sessions
Shift and/or work assignments may be changed based on operational needs
