Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Student Success Project Manager at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

Job Purpose

The Student Success Project Manager plansmanages and tracks projects and initiatives across multiple student successunits. This role designs and maintains transparency of strategic initiatives inalignment with the priorities of the universitys broader retention andcompletion addition the Student Success Project Manager isresponsible for partnering with leaders of past initiatives that have advancedstudent persistence at Wayne State University to publish project charters andformal reports for the student success project repository.

Usingpredictive analytics along with institutional dashboards and data assets thisposition assesses the academic performance needs of students with particularattention to historically underrepresented and niche populations.

Thisposition reports to the Director Student Success Operational Strategy.

Essential Functions

  • Develop reports for student success outcome measures KPIs andother metrics to ensure attainment of student success objectives.
  • Lead planning logistics and outcome analysis for multiple teamsof the Student Success Collaborative.
  • Increase meaningful collaboration between the Office of StudentSuccess Operational Strategy and campus partners to drive progress toward studentretention and completion goals.
  • Effectively leverage student success systems and platforms to analyzetrack and report on student progress.
  • Manage workflow of ad hoc projects supporting multiple studentsuccess units.
  • Performother related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education Bachelors degree

Bachelors degree in Education Instructional Design Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required. Project management certification preferred.

Experience Intermediate (3 to 4 years job-related experience)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education in relevant areas: student success student affairs data analytics academic advising or similar education and experience.
  • Experience with project management software (Asana) knowledge of business practices and operations.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Clear verbal and written abilities with effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Ability to compare contrast and quality check work with a keen attention to detail. Strong analytical skills including critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proficient with standard office tools (word processing spreadsheets presentation creation) research abilities to find relevant materials using online search tools and database management systems.
  • Proficient in using technology to develop implement track and analyze programs designed to maximize outreach efforts using student information systems. Demonstrated ability to aggregate and analyze data to evaluate outcomes towards set performance goals. Experience with database query and table design.
