Are you ready to take on the challenges of supporting our national security and helping to transform critical Mission Applications software applications to meet our mission goals This internship offers a unique work experience and engaging assignments.

We are currently recruiting for Summer 2027 internship opportunities in the field of computer science. The Internship Program is a 10-12 week program that offers challenging assignments projects and career development workshops to enhance your professional growth. You will also earn a competitive salary based on your discipline and academic class status.

Some of your tasks may include researching designing developing and modifying mobile applications enterprise-wide systems and other applications software using languages and infrastructures such C# C Java JavaScript JQuery ReactJS NodeJS SAPUI5 ABAP and HTML5.

The 2027 intern program is scheduled to start on May 24 2027 and conclude on July 29 2027.

Minimum Job Requirements

To be considered for the Intern position you must be working toward or have completed a degree in computer science or information technology. Students who have graduated are eligible up to two years addition you must have completed (at a minimum) your sophomore year in college have an overall GPA (grade point average) of 2.8/4.0 or above and be a United States Citizen.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712) which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.

This position may be categorized as a designated position identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709 requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
