Position Introduction:

The Student Athletics Photographer contributes to the overall vision and goals of Oklahoma Athletics by capturing moments and engaging content that tells the story of our athletics programs and student-athletes through photos. Student photographers assist the Director and Assistant Director of Photography in coverage/support for all photography-related requests and coverage of the Universitys 21 varsity sports collaborating with the creative staffs to elevate departmental initiatives while ensuring a cohesive style across all department photography.

Essential Functions:

  • Support and help organize the departments digital archive performing accurate editing correction and photo
    organization
  • Collaborate with the Director of Photography Assistant Director of Photography to ensure adequate coverage of games photoshoots department events and functions maintaining a cohesive style across all sports
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends with occasional travel to cover events and functions
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Communications Marketing SoonerVision and coaching staff to ensure needs are met

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Department Preferences:

  • Photography experience must include in-game photography for various sports
  • Knowledgeable of basic photography-related software including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom Classic
  • Adherence to University SEC and NCAA rules
