JVA is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our Historic and Existing Structures Studio within the Structural Engineering department of our employee-centric firm. The position can be filled in our Boulder Denver or Fort Collins office. Successful candidates will apply structural engineering principles and practices to analyze existing buildings and design solutions. Project Managers will work collaboratively with engineers of all levels including Principals other Project Managers Project Engineers and Design Engineers. Projects range from dilapidated barns to grand public buildings with and without historic building designations.
EXAMPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Plan develop coordinate and direct Historic Preservation rehabilitation adaptive reuse and addition projects of various sizes.
Take lead role in project budgeting and staffing needs.
Interpret organize execute and coordinate assignments.
Supervise engineering and support personnel.
Complete project-specific detailing and specialized engineering tasks.
Review and edit project specifications.
Complete QC reviews and conduct constructability reviews for engineering projects managed by peers.
Coordinate Construction Administration services with Project Engineer and or/Design Engineer.
Manage select clients and develop new clients in Historic Preservation and existing buildings sectors.
Coordinate marketing activities with a Principal or Senior Project Manager.
Assist with proposal preparation and fee negotiation for potential projects.
Review billing and assist in accounts receivable collection.
Review and track invoicing on your projects.
Salary Range: $114000 - $140000

Wood Experience: Ability to analyze wood timber and log framed buildings and design strengthening measures.
Masonry Experience: Exposure to masonry design and willingness to learn unreinforced masonry analysis and repair techniques.
Software Utilization:Ability to review structural architectural and mechanical plans and details in REVIT and create structural building models in RISA or RAM.
