Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Sterile Processing Technologist to join the core Main Operating Room team at our client. This position is responsible for cleaning decontaminating wrapping sterilizing and maintaining the surgical instrument inventory across the main facility secondary departments and associated regional clinics. The role is based out of Glenwood Springs but requires floating to cover operational needs at the nearby surgery center in Basalt CO as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Decontamination & Sterilization:Clean disassemble sanitize and sterilize complex surgical instruments scopes and medical devices according to rigid safety protocols.
• Assembly & Packaging:Thoroughly inspect instruments for structural defects replace broken items wrap surgical trays and organize sterile supplies.
• Inventory Control & Quality Checks:Monitor mechanical chemical and biological indicators to track sterilizer efficiency and systematically log facility inventory records.
• Mobile Coverage Rotation:Autonomously pivot to support sudden department call-outs or shift adjustments at the secondary surgery center facility in Basalt CO.

Mandatory Requirements & Selection Filters

• Professional Credentials:Must hold a current active nationalCRCST(HSPA) orCSPDT(CBSPD) certification at the time of profile submission.
• Experience Baseline:Minimum ofthree (3) continuous yearsof dedicated high-volume inpatient sterile processing experience inside a hospital setting.
• State Vetting Clearance:Must possess an active ColoradoCAPS(Colorado Adult Protective Services) registration clearance or be prepared to initiate this immediately upon profile selection (takes up to two weeks to clear).
• Traveler Radius Rule:Open to travel candidates only. The candidates permanent tax home address must be located at least75 miles awayfrom the facility to pass compliance filters.
• Vax Protocols:Must possess a current documentedFlu Vaccinematching current compliance season limits (October 1st - April 1st).Note: The facility enforces a strict zero-exemptions policy.
