Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-onSterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicianto join Precision Medicine at ourBellmore/Farmingdale NY location.
This position is focused specifically on sterile compounding and plays a critical role in the safe accurate and compliant preparation of injectable medications and other sterile dosage forms.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.
This role will support licensed pharmacists with day-to-day sterile lab operations adhering strictly to USP <797> and company SOPs to produce high-quality sterile compounds that meet individual patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile compounds (injectables ophthalmics etc.) in a cleanroom environment following USP <797> standards
- Operate within ISO-classified cleanroom suites and follow aseptic techniques
- Accurately measure mix and prepare sterile medications using laminar airflow hoods or isolators
- Perform cleaning environmental monitoring and sterile garbing procedures consistently
- Document all compounding activities and maintain complete and accurate batch records
- Label package and inspect finished sterile preparations for quality and compliance
- Manage inventory of sterile supplies and raw ingredients ensuring proper storage and handling
- Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician with sterile compounding experience
- NYS Pharm Tech License
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with USP <797> standards and sterile compounding compliance
- Experience working in a fast-paced high-volume production environment
- Experience using pharmacy systems for labeling tracking and batch record management
