State Administrative Manager 15 (Statewide Systems Management Section) Transportation Planning

This position serves as an administrative manager for the Statewide Systems Management Section (SSMS) which is responsible for managing the Capital Highway Program coordinating and participating in the integrated Highway Call for Projects (CFP) process recommending investment and system condition strategies to implement policy and goals and programming decisions within the context of the investment strategy and program addition manages the development monitoring and reporting on the departments Five-Year Transportation Program (5YTP). Work with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Regions and department program managers to facilitate program development and delivery. Interpret and implement transportation performance measures that impact the sections responsibilities. Coordinate with the Trunkline Pavement Strategy Specialist to provide pavement condition analyses and forecasts and ensure leadership of the Pavement Working Group. Develop maintain and enhance tools and/or applications that facilitate SSMS work responsibilities.

Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major.

Experience
Four years of professional experience including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.

Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
