As a Software Quality Assurance Staff Engineer you will provide technical leadership across quality assurance initiatives drive test automation strategies and establish best practices that improve product quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role partners closely with software engineers product teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations. As ourStaff Test Engineer youll support HIDs successby:

• Leading the identification definition promotion and integration of quality assurance best practices and standards across product lifecycle phases including PI Planning and organizational infrastructure.
• Defining planning developing acquiring deploying and executing quality assurance processes methods test automation tools metrics and procedures that support the delivery of defect-free products and services.
• Performing problem determination and defect tracking using tools such as TestRail.
• Identifying developing and maintaining automated testing solutions and frameworks.
• Defining and monitoring quality assurance metrics including defect and open bug tracking.
• Planning and tracking quality assurance projects while providing regular status updates to leadership.
• Providing technical leadership mentoring and training across quality assurance disciplines.
• Partnering with engineering and product teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyzing requirements and functional specifications to develop quality assurance plans test cases test scripts scenarios use cases and test environments.
• Performing technical risk assessments and predictive analysis using quality metrics and data-driven insights.
• Staying current with emerging technologies industry trends and quality assurance best practices.
• Supporting the delivery of secure reliable and high-quality biometric identity solutions for critical U.S. government programs.

YourExperienceand Background include:

• Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies and processes used to deliver high-quality defect-free products and services.
• Hands-on software testing experience including working with test tools defect reporting and defect tracking systems
• Knowledge of networking concepts internet technologies and software testing best practices.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into quality assurance plans test cases test scripts test scenarios use cases and test environments.
• Ability to identify analyze and troubleshoot software defects using analytical methods and testing tools throughout the product lifecycle.
• Experience defining and applying quality metrics building quality models conducting predictive analysis and performing technical risk assessments.
• Strong written and verbal communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively within cross-functional team environments.
• Experience providing technical guidance mentoring and training to team members.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced high-pressure environments.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment under general supervision.
• Bachelors in computer science or equivalent work experience at least five years of industry experience including a minimum of three years working within a quality assurance organization is preferred.
• Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies processes and metrics is preferred.
