Staff Software Engineer ITAM

About the Role:

The Software Asset Management product empowers organizations to manage software licensing and compliance with precision. Our engineers build performance-efficient algorithms that help customers achieve the most accurate licensing position possible. Youll be responsible for the full software development lifecyclefrom design and implementation to testing and deliverywhile partnering closely with product managers architects and quality engineers. Together we improve product quality efficiency and performance. The SAM team is deeply aligned with company priorities and market expectations delivering solutions that matter.

What You Get to Do in This Role

• Build high-quality clean scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews Unit Testing etc.)
• Own your code from design through implementation test automation and delivery
• Collaborate with product managers to define feature sets that solve real customer problems
• Work with architects to shape product design and with QE to enhance quality and performance
• Contribute to new product features and enhance existing offerings
• Mentor peers and promote knowledge-sharing across the team

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging critical thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes decision-making or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools automating workflows analyzing AI-driven insights or exploring AIs potential impact on the function or industry.  

• 8 years of experience in software engineering with a track record of delivering high-quality products.  

• Proficiency in Python Java or similar object-oriented languages. 

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular React or Vue. 

• Strong knowledge of data structures algorithms object-oriented design design patterns and performance optimization  

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit Selenium TestNG) and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines 

• Understanding software quality principles including reliability observability and production readiness. 

• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize performance across the stack. 

• Experience with AI-powered tools or workflows including validation of datasets model predictions and inference consistency. 

• Comfort with development tools such as IDEs debuggers profilers source control and Unix-based systems

For positions in this location we offer a base pay of $166500 - $291400 plus equity (when applicable) variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications skill level competencies and work location. We also offer health plans including flexible spending accounts a 401(k) Plan with company match ESPP matching donations a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
