Staff Network Engineer

Fortinet is seeking a Staff Network Engineer to design implement and support our global enterprise and data center network infrastructure. This senior-level role is responsible for architecting scalable secure and highly available networking solutions that support critical business operations data centers labs and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership drive infrastructure projects and mentor other engineers while ensuring the reliability and security of Fortinets global network.

Design implement and maintain enterprise WAN and data center network infrastructure.

Lead network architecture expansion and modernization projects for offices labs and data centers.

Maintain critical infrastructure through upgrades hardware refreshes and lifecycle management.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and lead root cause analysis for major incidents.

Develop and maintain network standards documentation and operational procedures.

Enhance network security by implementing best practices hardening standards and new technologies.

Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware software and connectivity solutions.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to network engineers and other IT staff.

Participate in an on-call rotation supporting global infrastructure outside normal business hours.

Expert knowledge of routing switching TCP/IP and enterprise network design.

Strong experience with Fortinet products firewalls and network security technologies.

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise and/or data center networks.

Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.

Knowledge of network automation and scripting is a plus.

Fortinet NSE 4 or above is a requirement for this position.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.

10 years of network engineering experience.

Proven experience designing and operating mission-critical network infrastructure.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Ability to install rack and cable networking equipment as needed.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $127000-$155000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits including medical dental vision life and disability insurance 401(k) 11 paid holidays vacation time and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market job type and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidates subject knowledge skill level qualifications experience and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at the time of hire and annually at the Companys discretion.
