As an Audit Staff II youll be part of a team that helps government organizations strengthen accountability improve operations and make the most of public resources. Youll gain hands-on experience work alongside experienced professionals and develop specialized expertise within a growing area of public accounting.

What Youll Do

In this role youll participate in audits reviews and other assurance engagements for government entities and related organizations. Youll work closely with senior team members to perform testing prepare workpapers analyze financial information and assist in developing conclusions and recommendations.

As your experience grows youll take on increasing responsibility interact more directly with clients and expand your knowledge of government auditing standards compliance requirements and industry-specific issues.

Youll have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while building the technical and professional skills needed for long-term success in public accounting.

Education & Experience
Required
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Internship experience public accounting experience or relevant accounting experience
Preferred
  • Audit internship experience
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience with governmental entities the Auditor of State or government audit engagements
  • Exposure to construction engineering or public infrastructure organizations
  • CPA eligibility or progress toward certification
