Job Title: Sr. Java Backend / Workflow Orchestration
Location: Remote
We are seeking a senior-level Java Backend Engineer to support enterprise workflow orchestration and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java Spring Boot microservices API development and workflow platform integrations such as Appian. This role will focus on designing scalable backend services workflow-driven integrations and enterprise-grade distributed systems.
Required Skills:- 7 years of enterprise application development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot Spring Cloud
- Expertise in Microservices Architecture and REST API development
- Experience with Appian or other BPM/Workflow platforms (Camunda JBPM etc.)
- Strong knowledge of system integrations event-driven architecture and messaging patterns
- Experience with PostgreSQL database design and performance tuning
- Experience with Redis/Memcached caching strategies
- CI/CD DevSecOps observability and automated testing experience
- Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Healthcare IT or payer/payment systems experience
- Workflow/Integration Center of Excellence (CoE) exposure
- AI-enabled workflow intelligence experience
- Design and develop scalable Java backend services for workflow orchestration platforms
- Build and maintain microservices and enterprise integrations
- Collaborate with architects platform engineers and cross-functional teams
- Implement secure high-performance APIs and distributed services
- Support DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and observability initiatives
- Conduct code reviews and mentor development teams
