Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD)staff couple the latest in information system technologies such as elastic compute clouds containerization microservices real-time operating systems and visualization frameworks with expertise in cyber security software architecture software engineeringdata science Artificial Intelligenceprocess improvement and software development to deliver responsive resilient high-performance software intensive systems to ourIntelligence Community Department of Warand civilian customers.

We develop and applystate of the artartificial intelligence machine learning and data science technologiesto aerospace and national security applications. We are looking for a motivatedStaff Data Scientist /Machine LearningEngineerwith a strong technical foundation and an interest in translating emerging AI researchinto particular mission-relevantcapabilities.

This isa full-timeposition based where the final selected candidate will work ineither El SegundoCA Chantilly Va or Colorado Springs CO whichrequires100% onsitework.

WhatYoullBe Doing:

  • Develop and evaluate advanced AL/ML algorithms

  • Design and implement reinforcement learning (RL) solutions for decisionmakingautonomy planningoptimizationand control.

  • Apply deep learning computer vision foundation models generative AI and multimodal learning to mission relevant problems

  • Develop data processing model traininginferenceand evaluation pipelines

  • Design experiments to evaluate performance robustness generalization and failure modes of AI/ML systems

  • The primary customers are from program office supporting projects from USSF NRO and IRAD

  • The key activity is to develop and advance AI/ML models and transition successful capabilities to customers.

What You Need to be Successful:Data Scientist-Data Science/Big Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence

MinimumRequirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or other related STEMmajors.

  • 3 yearsor moreof experience in AI/ML datascienceand related work

  • Proven abilityin AI/ML statistical analysis data scienceand modeling.

  • Demonstratedexperience programminginPythonandproven abilityin ML frameworks such asPyTorchTensorFlow.

  • Working knowledge ofReinforcementLearning concepts and algorithms

  • Willing to travelapproximately 10% of the time to support customer meeting and technical collaboration.

  • This position requires ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance which is issued by the U.S.government. U.S.citizenship isto obtain a security clearance.

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

Advanced degreein Data Science computervisionor related fields

  • 5years of experience indeveloping/testing and deploying AI/ML models

  • Strong research record with publication in top tier conferences such as CVPRNeurIPS

  • Experienced deploying andoptimizingML models for cloud HPC and edge-computing environment

  • Experience developing simulation-based AI/ML solution

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge and skills.
