Job Summary

Staff BESS Electrical Engineer

100% onsite in either Sparks NV or San Francisco CA

This person will help design the electrical systems used for large battery energy storage projects.
The role covers both the AC and DC sides of the system including transformers inverters switchgear single-line diagrams grounding protection power studies and utility interconnection.

The main requirements are:

5 years of experience in solar energy storage microgrids or renewable energy
3 years specifically working on BESS design and deployment
Hands-on electrical design experience for AC/DC and medium-voltage systems
Experience performing power system studies using ETAP SKM EasyPower or a similar tool

Please focus on candidates who have personally designed large BESS renewable energy utility or heavy-industrial projects.

A PE license is preferred.

Candidates must be able to obtain PE licenses within 2 months of starting.
