The Role
TCA Health is seeking a detail-oriented collaborative Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger activity reconciliations journal entries month-end close financial reporting grant accounting and audit preparation. Its a strong fit for an accountant with a solid foundation who is ready to grow in a mission-driven setting.

What Youll Do
- Prepare and post accurate timely journal entries to the general ledger
- Perform monthly account and balance sheet reconciliations including payroll benefits prepaid and accrual accounts
- Assist with monthly quarterly and year-end close
- Review transactions to ensure accurate classification of revenues and expenses
- Prepare financial schedules reports budget-to-actual reporting and analysis
- Support accounting and reporting for federal state and private grants and restricted funding
- Support annual audits by preparing schedules gathering documentation and responding to requests
- Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls in compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting requirements
- Research and resolve discrepancies in partnership with Finance and other departments
- Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned

- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience including general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Discretion with confidential financial and organizational information
