Staff Accountant

Logistics Property Company is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team in Chicago. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants broad exposure to corporate accounting within a dynamic industrial real estate company.

Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Director the Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting activities month-end close account reconciliations reporting and special projects. Youll gain hands-on learning collaborate with colleagues across the business and build a strong foundation in accounting systems controls and processessetting yourself up for long-term success in your accounting career.

This position is based in our Chicago Loop office with an in-office schedule Monday through Thursday.

In this role you will:

• Support the monthly close process by preparing routine journal entries schedules and account reconciliations
• Prepare bank reconciliations and record cash activity
• Maintain supporting documentation for accounting transactions and ensure records are complete accurate and organized
• Support accounting for related-party receivables including account reconciliation monthly invoicing aging review and appropriate follow-up
• Assist in preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements management reports and supporting schedules
• Perform monthly fee calculations and other recurring accounting analyses
• Assist with investor capital calls distributions and quarterly and annual investor reporting
• Help respond to requests from external auditors tax preparers and internal business partners
• Investigate variances and accounting questions escalating unusual items and recommending practical next steps
• Identify opportunities to improve recurring processes documentation and internal controls
• Partner with team members across departments and provide responsive service-oriented accounting support
• Contribute to ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or a closely related field
• Zero to two years of relevant accounting experience including internships part-time roles or other practical experience
• Foundational understanding of GAAP and core financial statements
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including formulas sorting filtering and basic data analysis
• Strong attention to detail organization and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities meet deadlines and ask thoughtful questions when guidance is needed
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative customer-service mindset
• Interest in learning new systems processes and the industrial real estate business
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or another accounting or enterprise resource planning system
• Coursework internship experience or demonstrated interest in commercial real estate

This role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $60000 - $75000 annually plus bonus reflecting the companys good faith estimate based on market data and internal equity.
