Role: Staff AccountantReports to: Accounting ManagerProgram: 9003-FinanceDepartment: AdminLocation: Arlington Administration - 2116 Arlington Ave. Suite 100 Los Angeles CA 90018Setting: 100% OnsiteSchedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pmStatus:Full-time/Non-Exempt/Non-ManagementBenefits:Medical Vision Dental Life Insurance 403(b) Retirement plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) : 1Summary:The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing and supporting daily accounting functions including general ledger maintenance account reconciliations journal entries accounts payable and receivable and month-end and year-end closing activities. The position assists with financial reporting audits and analysis while ensuring accurate and timely financial records in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures. The Staff Accountant works collaboratively with internal departments and maintains a high level of accuracy confidentiality and attention to Duties and Responsibilities:Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting and post journal entries and maintain supporting monthly bank credit card and general ledger account with accounts payable and accounts receivable month-end quarter-end and year-end closing transactions for accuracy completeness and proper account with preparation of financial statements and management organized accounting records and with audits and provide requested financial information and supporting account balances and investigate and resolve compliance with organizational accounting policies procedures and applicable accounting confidentiality of financial and employee other accounting and financial duties as :Bachelors degreeKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesExperience with accounting software and Microsoft attention to detail and organizational and time-management to analyze financial information and identify written and verbal communication to work independently as well as collaboratively with other to manage multiple priorities and meet Qualifications:one to three (13) years of accounting experienceBachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field Environment:The Staff Accountant works primarily in a professional office environment and regularly uses a computer accounting software Microsoft Office applications and other standard office equipment. The position requires frequent interaction with accounting staff management and other departments. The work environment is generally quiet to moderately active with occasional periods of increased workload and deadlines particularly during month-end year-end and audit periods. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining accuracy confidentiality and professionalism.
