Our client a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology is looking for a Systems Engineer II/ Sr Systems Engineer based in Pleasanton CA.


Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate : $80/hr on W2

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer to support the development and integration of next-generation diagnostic solutions. The role will focus on integrating instruments molecular diagnostic workflows software and data pipelines across multidisciplinary teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead system integration across end-to-end diagnostic workflows including sample preparation library preparation qPCR digital PCR sequencing and data processing.
  • Define system requirements and contribute to system testing verification and validation (V&V).
  • Develop and execute test cases and analyze results against system requirements.
  • Troubleshoot system issues manage defects and perform root cause analysis.
  • Create and maintain system requirements specifications integration plans and verification documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow automation simplification and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with assay software hardware bioinformatics and cross-functional engineering teams.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Biomedical Engineering Software Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with instrument and software troubleshooting/integration.
  • Experience with IVD molecular diagnostics or diagnostic instrumentation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of system testing requirements verification/validation and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.


Preferred

  • Experience with NGS/sequencing qPCR dPCR sample/library preparation or bioinformatics.
  • Experience with cloud-based systems.
  • Scripting/programming experience particularly Python or Java.
