Sr. Systems Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location Requirement

This position is open only to candidates who can work in the following approved location:

Los Angeles CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Implement automation for system provisioning configuration management and monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering DevOps and InfoSec teams to ensure secure and compliant system operations.
• Optimize performance and availability of enterprise systems including compute storage and networking.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture processes and procedures.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure operations.
• Expertise in Kubernetes Linux administration and Cloud Ops.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms - Azure preferred.
• Experience with automation tools such as Git Ops Ansible Terraform Claude AI.
• Familiarity with container orchestration service mesh technologies monitoring tools (Datadog Prometheus) and logging frameworks.
• Strong scripting skills in Python Bash or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g. PCI DSS SOC 2).
• Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in fintech or regulated enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise networking.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tools or technical publications.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for cross-team collaboration.

POSITION TYPE

PAY RANGE

The targeted full-time base salary for this position is $87500 to $131100 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications expertise and the candidates geographical location.
