Job Summary
Job Description
This role provides end-to-end ownership of IT/OT infrastructure and support for research laboratories and manufacturing plant systems ensuring cGMP-compliant operations. It drives proactive troubleshooting infrastructure implementation and continuous improvement of initiatives supporting biologics development and clinical manufacturing with direct accountability for IT infrastructure at the Rahway site.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop secure Human-Machine Interface (HMI) application components within the IT/OT platforms (DeltaV DCS control Historian Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs))
Support integration of OT and HMI applications with gateways control systems and communication protocols
Operate and maintain OT systems tools and applications.
Support IT/OT services including asset inventory configuration management.
Conduct risk assessments obtain permits and manage technician allocation.
Perform investigations change requests and ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards solutions leveraging best practices
ROBO administration Server builds and Backup and recovery
Local Network support -Access switch provisioning and trouble shooting.
Complete control of all IP assignments for Rahway/West Point including VIM network.
Firewall rules administration for systems that work between different VLANs at Rahway (BAS Empower LabX Thermo DeltaV mobile)
Troubleshoot any issues with Servers and or the VMs provisioned.
Delta V virtual controller set up and troubleshooting.
Active Directory (AD) group configuration.
SAN and server space monitoring
Actively supports Digital Transformation initiatives involving system integrations data connectivity data analysis/modelling validation methods and value-based optimization of manufacturing.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Must have 5 years demonstrated DeltaV batch automation experience preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
Proven experience in resolving software /automation problems & maintain reliable operation of all building control / automation and related systems while complying and supporting the global standards
Skills in commissioning & qualification (C&Q) of automated / computerized systems aligned with Computer System Validation (CSV) requirements in a GxP-regulated environment.
Extended knowledge of GxP / Health Safety & Environment (HSE) & Quality systems
Excellent communications skills essential
Bachelors degree in a Life Science discipline or min 3 years equivalent practical experience in automation control systems within regulated environment.
Thorough knowledge of computer validation/SDLC principles and automation change control procedures. (e.g. GAMP 5)
Strong technical competency with knowledge of pharmaceutical industry processes & practices.
Demonstrated understanding of network cloud and virtual server technologies.
Knowledge of integrated software applications including SCADA MES and LIMS systems in support of business processes in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
Demonstrated project management skills
Enterprise mindset entrepreneurial spirit self-starter self-guided hands-on person.
Record of working independently asynchronously (across time zones) and with excellent communication skills that cross culture / geographic / organizational boundaries.

The salary range for this role is
$106200.00 - $167200.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills geographic location government requirements and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive if applicable.
