Job Description:
L3HarrisTactical CommunicationsseekingaSr. Supplier QualityEngineer to support ourconnector/cablesourcing havea technical backgroundwith experienceinelectromechanicalassembly and role requires the ability to build andmaintainstrong relationshipswith internal and external stakeholders. Experience with quality systems/tools including APQP PPAP and part qualification desired.
Essential Functions:
Collaboratewith suppliers to reduce variability increasereliabilityandensureon-time delivery.
Focus on problem prevention supplier quality control continuous improvement and data reporting.
Facilitate Part/Process Qualificationthrough FAI and PPAP.
Manage material Inspection Plans and methods for production material.
Collaborate with engineering suppliers and manufacturing for smooth transitions from concept to production.
Willingness to travel (25% or more) primarily domestic.
Position requires a minimum of a BS degree (Engineering or STEM)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with connectorsand cables.
- Experience inSix Sigma Leanmethodologies Corrective & Preventive Action and Root Cause Analysis.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York state is $84000 to $156000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
