Sr Software MAC development Engineer

As a member of LEO MAC-SW you will be responsible for delivering embedded FW code running on ground networks on customer terminals and on satellites. Come and join the innovative and unique wireless project LEO. You would be focused on designing developing and testing complete LEO-MAC FW. You will be a key member of a cross functional team of innovators working on unique wireless technology that will enable millions of people to stay connected.


Key job responsibilities
Design develop integrate and bring up Kuiper-MAC FW components/drivers in a real-time embedded environment
Working in a cross-functional environment to define multi-dimensional performance requirements (e.g. MIPs memory BW)
Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet end-to-end use case requirement
Build component use-cases/test-cases and debug your code in LEO embedded environment
Profile and execute the code on RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded environment
Contribute in defining services and functionalities delivered by your FW-subsystems
Define document test and debug your FW-HW interfaces
Familiarity with SW/FW best practices (e.g. clean architecture refactoring )

- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience debugging profiling and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems
- Experience with current and upcoming RF standards in cellular (4G/5G NR) WiMAX 802.11ad microwave backhaul or related broadband wireless standards

- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with MAC or L1 protocol feature development and addressing the throughput performance issues.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
