Sr. Software Development Engineer, eero Core Network Management

Key job responsibilities
* As a software development engineer on the eero Core Network Management Team you will act as a Tech Lead on new features we develop within our system and expose through our client applications.
* You will guide and mentor team members
* You will be setting a standard for the rest of the team in your ability to deliver quality code yourself and in reviewing and improving others work
* You will have hands-on involvement in the entire software lifecycle
* You will excel at working with others within and outside of engineering and be able to influence the overall product development in the right direction
* Scale core cloud services to handle billions of requests as the eero fleet continues to grow

About the team
The eero Core Network Management Team is responsible for baseline functionality exposed in eeros mobile client applications (iOS and Android) and the supporting cloud services they rely on. Features include network monitoring management security and settings. Our team is focused on expanding the reach of our mobile applications regionally and with improved partner integrations. We strive to provide the best mobile application experience possible through native application development focusing on performance and adherence to the latest UI design standards.

- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience with AWS Services including EC2 Lambda S3 DynamoDB SQS

- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- 4 years of big data technologies such as AWS Hadoop Spark Pig Hive Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience
- Experience designing building operating and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
