As an employee-owned company every team member has a stake in our success creating a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where innovation Summary:As a Sr. Quality Technician you will be responsible for measuring and evaluating all customer specifications. You will validate product designs through rigorous testing conduct capability studies and maintain strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards. This is achieved through developing and executing inspection routines on automated test equipment such as a CMM and a MicroVu or through best method determined by you. The Quality Technician is actively involved in a variety of activities that are essential to providing our customers with accurate : $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Develop programs for validating parts and for production inspectionPerform First Article Inspections and document resultsPerform MSAs Gage R&Rs and Capability Studies and document resultsProvide engineers with data to perform statistical analysis of product. Perform calibration on all automated equipmentDevelop inspection plans for each production productPerform customer specific quality testing if requiredProvide technical support for Quality Assurance technical feedback for new drawing at Drawing Review MeetingsAssist in developing quality fixturing Give guidance/train others on operating and troubleshooting automated equipmentOther duties as assigned by the Quality Manager Qualifications & Requirements:Basic knowledge of Plastic Injection and knowledge of cosmetic requirements of plastic inspection skills to include use of hand inspection equipment (Micrometers Calipers Height stands etc.).Strong ability to read and understand complex and knowledge in advance GD& Measuring Machine programming experience. Using softwares like PC-DMIS or Calypso 3 to 7 Vision System programming experience. (Optional)Knowledge and understanding of SPC and SQC tools and of computer databases spreadsheets SPC/SQC software and CAD/ written verbal and communication organizational and problem-solving knowledge of computer databases spreadsheets and SPC Suite knowledge (Excel Word etc.). Physical Requirements: Ability to stand walk and move around the production floor for extended of lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small tools machine components and to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE); safety glasses gloves and ear bending kneeling and reaching to access equipment and perform perception for inspecting parts and identifying any defects or to work in temperature-controlled environments and withstand exposure to noise levels associated with manufacturing to receive comprehend and utilize required training from OSHA and Company including but not limited to the following:Knowledge of Hazardous and Safety Lock Out/Tag OutEqual Employment Opportunity & ADA Compliance Statement:PTA Plastics is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals including those with disabilities.
