What Youll Do
Own the operation Take full accountability for budgetary performance people development and operational excellence across your functional area (Inbound or Outbound).
Lead and develop leaders Manage coach and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers setting clear expectations and holding them accountable while building the next generation of Amazon leaders.
Drive continuous improvement Champion Lean initiatives process innovations and quality programs that push your team and the FC to exceed business goals.
Deliver a world-class customer experience Ensure safety quality and performance standards are met or exceeded every single day.
Collaborate cross-functionally Partner with HR Finance Facilities Safety IT and peer leaders to secure resources share best practices and drive site-wide success.
Cultivate ideas Source and nurture innovative ideas from your team translating them into actionable improvement plans that raise the bar across the network.
Share best practices Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments shifts and the broader network.

Additional Job Elements to this hands-on Leadership Role:
Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each
Regular bending lifting stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length
Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily
Ability to work in construction /distribution environments that may be noisy unlit unheated not air-conditioned
Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders stairs gangways safely and without limitation)

- Bachelors degree or equivalent or 2 years of equivalent experience
- Work flexible hours as business demands including overnight weekends and holidays
- 7 years direct management experience including a salaried workforce in a manufacturing production or distribution environment
- Prior experience with performance metrics process improvement and Lean techniques
- Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle including interviewing hiring performance management promotions and termination

- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation
- Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations or related field. MBA preferred

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
