Cloud Infrastructure team as part of the Apple Services Engineering team is seeking an extraordinary engineering program manager (EPM) that can help our Traffic team deliver innovative product solutions that will shape the future of large scale infrastructure at Apple. nnWe are building and supporting critical infrastructural systems and frameworks which provide and support services like load balancers Traffic mesh proxies for Apple Cloud Infrastructure which is the platform upon which many iCloud and other backend systems at Apple are a fast paced organization with ambitious goals a large user base and the autonomy to build the future of Compute and Storage infrastructure for all of Apple. Teams across Apple rely on us for infrastructure that help them build services that scale globally are highly available and just work. nnWe listen to different perspectives help surface innovative ideas and drive decisions that move us forward. Youll need a strong background in program and project management complemented by your technical abilities.n

Youll partner with a diverse set of teams across Apple to provide them with groundbreaking infrastructure for Traffic that operate at substantial scale and use open source technologies along with proprietary systems.

8 years experience in software development project management in Infrastructure domains preferably Traffic networking or computenUnderstanding of traffic management at scale at Layer 4 or 7 of the network OSI modelnExperience managing projects with Layer-4 or Layer-7 traffic meshes (e.g. Envoy or Istio) and control plane technologynExperience managing Cloud and Infrastructure project experience with evidence and able to demonstrate knowledgenExperience at prioritizing features and technical road mapsnProficiency and experience in delivering large scale infrastructure projectsnBA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience

Exceptional organizational project management and technical acumennPrior engineering infrastructure experience a plusnSCRUM background and/or played the role of a Scrum Master is plusnSelf-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilitiesnStrong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsnStrong verbal and written communication skills to represent at all levels of the organizationnAbility to manage multiple simultaneous end to end infrastructure technical projects and stakeholder community comprising of various engineering teams and their partnersnExperience at end to end project delivery; building roadmaps through to operational sustainabilitynStrong facilitation skills (requirements sessions design meetings progress and status meetings)
