Sr Engineering Program Manager, Streaming Media

The Streaming Media team is looking for an experienced Engineering Program Manager to lead software projects across first- and third-party initiatives that reach hundreds of millions of people every will bring strong program management fundamentals excellent communication skills and a passion for building exceptional technology with a talented collaborative team. Along the way we partner with industry leading third parties to create a powerful open ecosystem for our an EPM on this team you will own and drive:n Project leadership: Define own and maintain project plans for the Streaming Media team using the methodology best suited to each initiative (Agile Scrum Waterfall or hybrid approaches).n Roadmap development: Build and steward a multi-year roadmap of feature commitments that balances engineering capacity partner priorities and product strategy.n Cross-functional alignment: Drive clear consistent communication between media engineering teams and their partners across Apple including platform product design and operations.n Execution: Lead cross-functional software implementation for supported teams and features from kickoff through delivery.n Visibility u0026 reporting: Track and communicate progress risks and opportunities to a range of audiences from engineering leads to senior executives.

8 years of Project / Program Management experience in a high-tech environmentnExperience delivering software features or products to external customers from concept through launchnExcellent written and verbal communication skills including executive-level reportingnHas demonstrated success in leading major cross-functional software projectsnAbility to quickly develop working knowledge of technical concepts across a wide range of domainsnExperience distilling complex engineering situations into clear accurate and actionable summariesnTechnical proficiency in one or more of: audio video graphics or AI/MLnDemonstrated success in driving software projects through all phases of the SDLC requirements design implementation testing and release with multiple shipped products or features as evidence

Experience with software development for consumer media platforms mobile media players or IPTVnFamiliarity with audio/video streaming technologies including content playback codec (encoder/decoder) compression content protection (DRM) and CDN-based video distribution
