Sr. Electrical Engineer

The Impact Youll Make

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects with a strong focus on highway and bridge lighting roadway electrical systems and related transportation improvements.
• Review develop and oversee construction documents including plans specifications calculation reports cost estimates material quantity takeoffs shop drawings Requests for Information (RFIs) and responses to client comments.
• Perform and review lighting analyses photometric studies electrical load calculations and power distribution designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and transportation agency standards.
• Provide technical leadership mentoring and quality control oversight to junior engineering staff.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams including roadway bridge traffic and structural engineers throughout project development and delivery.
• Support project managers with project planning scheduling budgeting and client coordination activities.
• Assist with business development efforts including proposal preparation scope development and technical presentations.
• Serve as a trusted technical resource for transportation electrical engineering projects across the organization.

Qualifications :

The Expertise Youll Bring

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 12 years of progressive electrical engineering experience required
• Demonstrated experience with highway lighting bridge lighting roadway electrical systems and transportation-related electrical design.
• FDOT experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead project tasks mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
