Meet the team:

Reporting to the Head of Software the Senior Director of Software Engineering for Clinical Applications will lead the development delivery and lifecycle management of Dexcoms clinical software applications and experiences. This leader will own end-to-end software execution for products and capabilities that support clinical workflows therapy management patient engagement healthcare provider experiences and intelligent digital health solutions.

As part of Dexcoms evolving Product Operating Model this role will build and lead high-performing cross-functional software teams with clear ownership of product outcomes software quality reliability and delivery execution. Teams operate with modern software engineering practices including continuous integration continuous delivery automated verification and early integration of test and quality considerations throughout the development lifecycle.

Where you come in:

• You will lead the software engineering organization responsible for Dexcoms Clinical Applications portfolio

• You will establish a product-based development model with aligned cross-functional teams focused on end-to-end ownership

• You will lead engineering teams operating within a Product Operating Model with end-to-end ownership and accountability for customer outcomes

• You will drive modern engineering practices including CI/CD pipelines AI-Assisted development workflows automated testing integrated quality engineering and reliable software delivery at scale

• You will ensure test quality and verification considerations are incorporated early in the product development lifecycle to improve product reliability and release confidence

• You will partner with architecture and platform teams to develop scalable intelligent software solutions leveraging modern cloud and AI-enabled technologies where appropriate

What makes you successful:

• You have deep experience leading software engineering organizations delivering mobile cloud and connected healthcare applications at scale

• You have strong technical depth across modern software architecture cloud platforms application development APIs and software quality practices

• You have experience driving transformation toward modern software engineering practices including CI/CD automated quality frameworks and integrated product team delivery models

• You have experience incorporating AI-enabled capabilities intelligent tooling or data-driven automation into software products or development workflows

Travel Required: 15-25%

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 17years of industry experience

• Requires a degree in a technical discipline

• 13 years of successful managementexperience in relevant industry

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
