About the Role

At Advanced Space were enabling humanitys return to the Moon and building the technologies that will take us to Mars and beyond. Were looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer with 812 years of experience to lead the design implementation and continuous improvement of secure scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure supporting some of the most ambitious space missions in the industry.

In this role youll provide technical leadership across cloud architecture infrastructure automation CI/CD observability cybersecurity and operational excellence. Youll partner closely with software engineers IT cybersecurity and mission teams to build secure-by-default systems that power mission-critical applications for NASA national security and commercial space programs.

What Youll Actually Do

Lead cloud infrastructure and DevOps architecture.

Design and implement secure scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure while establishing technical standards for AWS environments cloud governance and enterprise DevOps practices.

Build secure automated delivery pipelines.

Lead the development and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure as Code deployment automation and secure-by-default architectures that enable reliable software delivery across multiple programs.

Drive operational excellence.

Develop monitoring logging incident response disaster recovery and high-availability strategies using tools such as Prometheus Grafana and the ELK Stack. Continuously improve system reliability observability and operational performance.

Provide technical leadership.

Mentor engineers establish DevOps best practices guide cross-functional architecture discussions and serve as a technical leader for infrastructure automation cybersecurity and platform engineering initiatives.

Who Thrives Here

• You have 812 years of experience in DevOps cloud infrastructure platform engineering or site reliability engineering.
• You have deep expertise designing and operating secure cloud environments in AWS with knowledge of AWS Organizations Service Control Policies (SCPs) and enterprise cloud governance.
• You have experience implementing Infrastructure as Code deployment automation and CI/CD best practices.
• Youre proficient with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• You have experience with observability platforms including Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack or similar monitoring and logging solutions.
• Youre comfortable using Python Bash or similar scripting languages to automate infrastructure and operational workflows.
• You understand disaster recovery high availability system hardening cybersecurity vulnerability management and operational resilience.
• You enjoy mentoring engineers leading technical initiatives and collaborating across software infrastructure and security teams.
• You take ownership. When you see a challenge you work with the team to solve it.

Bonus Points if You Have Experience With

• AWS Azure or Google Cloud DevOps Professional certifications
• Security certification
• CISSP or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Kubernetes Infrastructure as Code or advanced cloud automation
• Blue/green deployments chaos engineering or site reliability engineering (SRE)
• Compliance automation and secure software delivery
• Leading enterprise DevOps transformations
• Aerospace government or classified software development environments

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $140000$182000 (based on experience qualifications and location)
