Position: Data Engineer (Scala) Senior
Location: Charlotte NC
Employment Type: Cliff W2
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Visa: Open to all work-authorized candidates.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Scala (Mandatory)
- Apache Spark using Scala (Not PySpark)
- Strong SQL skills
- ETL/Data Pipeline development
- Hadoop ecosystem (Hive/HDFS) is a plus
- Experience with Git and Agile methodologies
Senior Candidates
- 7 years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Scala Spark and large-scale data processing
- Performance tuning and data pipeline optimization
- Ability to mentor junior team members
Note: Candidates with only PySpark experience and no hands-on Scala experience will not be considered.
