Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Business Analyst in Oil and Gas with report-development experience for a 100% remote position preferably in Texas. This is a year-long contract position that can be renewed for 3 years. Candidates without Oil and Gas report-development experience will be rejected.

Duties include using multiple methods to gather develop and document requirements; reviewing assessing and improving business processes; creating and validating user acceptance tests; and providing research and special-project support to users. This role will work under limited to minimal direction with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

This position analyzes and documents multiple interrelated report-related projects. The work focuses on data including analysis root-cause analysis of data errors data flow documentation report development and posting data to the Open Data Portal or the clients website. Requires knowledge and background in Power BI Snowflake and data publishing. Ensures that deliverables and materials are produced and maintained in accordance with established processes and procedures are of consistent quality and use accepted business analysis methodologies. May assign and/or supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude to use initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements:

Yrs Experience

8 Strong interpersonal collaborative analytical written/verbal/ presentation communication skills in English

8 Experience in gathering requirements and

creating reports

8 Facilitating creation and analysis of business requirements and working with business area personnel to design technical solutions

5 Participating in and providing guidance to business and in developing and completing user acceptance testing training and implementation-related activities

2 Experience with Snowflake and Power BI

2 Experience in Oil and Gas industry
