Job Summary

The Operations Finance professional at McKesson Corporation plays a critical role in providing financial insights and support to operational leaders driving efficient decision-making and contributing to the companys financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop analyze and report on key operational financial metrics including cost of goods sold inventory turns distribution costs and labor productivity.
• Partner with operational teams to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify cost savings opportunities process improvements and revenue growth initiatives within operations.
• Prepare financial models and business cases for capital expenditure requests new projects and operational changes.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by ensuring accurate financial reporting for operational expenses and related accounts.
• Perform variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast providing clear explanations and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain procurement and IT to optimize operational efficiency and financial outcomes.
• Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures related to operational activities.
• Present financial findings and recommendations to senior management and operational stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance with a strong emphasis on operational finance cost accounting or supply chain finance.
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data identify trends and develop actionable insights.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling forecasting and budgeting.
• Advanced Excel skills required (will be possibly working with Google Sheets in the future)
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g. Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with various levels of management.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

McKesson Medical-Surgical (MMS) which is expected to become Wellverse in early 2027 is a subsidiary and publicly reported segment of the McKesson Corporation.
