Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will partner closely with the Controller and oversee key accounting functions. This includes general ledger month-end close inventory costing and financial reporting. The role also supports process improvement and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily guidance and review support to junior accounting staff
• Able to lead monthly quarterly and annual close activities. This includes journal entries account reconciliations balance sheet roll-forwards and financial statements
• Manage standard costing job costing WIP accounting and cycle counts
• Maintain accurate audit-ready records. Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOPs
• Support ERP implementation and data cleanup. Identify opportunities to improve automate and standardize accounting processes across locations
• Assist with cash flow forecasting budgeting fixed assets and operational KPI reporting. Provide financial analysis and support to executive leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience should include month-end close reconciliations and financial reporting
• Manufacturing accounting experience required. Experience with inventory job costing or WIP accounting is preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP IFRS internal controls and financial reporting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with QuickBooks including general ledger management reconciliations reporting and day-to-day accounting functions
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
