THE ROLE

This Co-op experience provides participants with meaningful relevant work experience as part of their academic addition to daily responsibilities participants will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience including:

At the conclusion of this position co-ops will have increased their knowledge of investing the mutual fund industry employee engagement and a firm understanding of how compliance learning works at an asset manager.

MFS co-op positions are a 6-month commitment working Monday Friday (beginning on Wednesday January 13th through Friday June 25th 2027) and work between 35-40 hours. Our program is designed for undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in a co-op program through their college or university and can meet our requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

Following established procedures the co-op in this position will assist the Reporting Compliance group with ensuring the quality and integrity of reporting and data.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• The job will be focused on supporting key functions across compliance tasks including reporting automation pre- and post-trade analysis responding to ad hoc requests for information and research within the Compliance Reporting Group.

• Review and research differences between multiple compliance monitoring systems.

• Complete assignments such client reporting deliverables work with various internal partners for optimizing process efficiencies and automation documentation including review of prior day changes made to compliance systems.

• Work on multiple trade and internal systems to refer download and post documents.

• Additional duties to be performed as requested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Candidates studying or with exposure in finance quantitative analysis statistics data science or related fields are well-suited for this role.

• The ideal candidate should be adept at critical thinking possess sharp problem-solving skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

• Strong communication and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

• Strong critical thinking abilities to approach complex compliance challenges.

• Strong knowledge of computer-based programs such as MS Office.

• Some exposure to coding languages with an ability to automate workflows and generate insights.

Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00-$25.00
