SPO Estimator Concrete (Seattle)

PositionDescription:

Prepare detailed Self-Perform Operations (SPO) concrete estimates for projectbased on construction drawings and specifications; and communicate bids andscopes of work.

EssentialDuties & Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed Self-Perform Operations (SPO) concreteestimate including completing quantity take-offs analysis estimate input andstudies for items incorporated in assigned scope.
• Generate labor productivity rates in coordination with historical data &project specific constraints.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships in order to solicit competitivepricing.
• Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for different contract types ( Sum Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Cost Plus).
• Identify and communicate design issues and project risks impacting SPOconcrete. Generate and propose solutions working in collaboration withPreconstruction team to resolve.
• Analyze SPO concrete project schedules for sequencing risk and prepare laborloaded schedules based on estimated days.
• Collaborate with SPO Manager to include appropriate markups labor rates andother necessary information in assigned estimates based on the projectapproach backlog and level of risk.
• Lead document management for SPO concrete projects including receivingdrawings and specifications providing proper file structure and distributionto stakeholders.
• Attend constructability review meetings document potential issues withTrades and support communication with project team and designers.
• Develop SPO concrete value analysis study including cost-efficientalternatives to proposed scope.
• Gain full comprehension of factors required for comprehensive Trade packagescope including contract documents site logistics schedule coordinationmeans and methods.
• Prepare concrete scope requisitions for assigned Trades and coordinate withproject team to identify and eliminate scope gaps and overlaps.
• Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimate for assigned scope.
• For any subcontracted SPO concrete work obtain and evaluate Trade proposalsrelative to their scope of work document and organize information into BidRecording Sheet and participate in Post Bid Review.
• Manage action items from Post Bid and finalize sub tier scopes and makerecommendations to Procurement for bid awards.
• Prepare and manage project kick-off meeting and hand off to project operationsteams.
• May supervise Estimating team members participate in recruiting activitiesonboard new staff and contribute to performance appraisals.
• Other activities duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be $90000.00- 123000.00 annualized.
