Speech Pathologist

Our client is a privately owned paediatric speech pathology practice. Services are delivered from the Deer Park head office the Brunswick clinic and via Australia-wide telehealth. The practice supports children and young people aged 1.522 through assessment therapy parent coaching progress reporting and collaboration with schools childcare services and other supports where appropriate. Care is evidence-based individualised neurodiversity-affirming and family-centred with a strong emphasis on clear goals meaningful functional outcomes and respectful communication. The team values passionate entrepreneurial thinking innovation and practical improvement and is supported by centralised administration established practice systems and Halaxy for bookings client records and documentation.

The primary purpose of this position is to join and strengthen the Brunswick practice taking ownership of a paediatric caseload with genuine autonomy within clear clinical ethical and operational standards.

Reporting to Head Speech Pathologist; some of your responsibilities will include:

• Independently managing a paediatric caseload spanning assessment therapy parent coaching progress reporting and case documentation
• Building trusted relationships with families and referrers and helping grow the Brunswick clinics reputation through consistently excellent care
• Making sound routine clinical and operational decisions while recognising when risk complexity or uncertainty should be escalated

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification paediatric clinical experience with demonstrated competence in assessment clinical reasoning goal setting intervention planning and report writing
• Current Speech Pathology Australia Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status or eligibility and ability to obtain it before commencement
• Current or obtainable Victorian Working with Children Check National Police Check and where applicable NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Strong rapport-building and communication skills with children parents carers and other professionals
• Reliable operational habits including punctuality accurate same-day clinical notes timely reports and proactive communication
• Sound ethical judgement and a reflective constructive approach to feedback

• Salary of $90000 - $105000 pa Super Allowances depending on experience
