Speech Language Pathologist Per Diem

Job Summary
Trinity Health of New England is looking for an experienced Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to join our mission-driven team in our Inpatient rehabilitation department at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
The SLP is a member of a comprehensive care team responsible for evaluating and treating patients with mildmoderate cognitive deficit and neurological disorders including patients with diagnoses of stroke traumatic brain injury concussion Multiple Sclerosis Parkinsons Disease brain tumors. Disorders include dysarthria apraxia dysphagia aphasia cognitive-communication deficits voice and fluency disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Performs comprehensive evaluations.
- Establishes functional goals based upon evaluation results targeting deficit areas to help patients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
- Provides professional interaction with patients family members interdisciplinary team members and other staff members and colleagues.
- completes all documentation in accordance with professional organizational and regulatory compliance standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program with a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- State of Connecticut Speech-Language Pathology Licensure
