Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Supervisor to provide supervision and oversight of speech-language support personnel within a school setting in Providence Rhode Island. The SLPA Supervisor will oversee assigned support personnel monitor competency and service delivery develop and modify student treatment plans and ensure speech-language services are provided in accordance with applicable licensure requirements and District standards.

Requirements
Meet all applicable licensure requirements and rules regulating the practice of speech-language pathology.
Be appropriately qualified to supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants and other assigned speech-language support personnel.
Demonstrate the professional competency necessary to evaluate supervise and direct SLPA services.
Maintain accurate documentation of all direct and indirect supervisory activities.
Comply with applicable professional confidentiality and District requirements.
Responsibilities
Ensure support personnel are assigned only duties and responsibilities for which they have been appropriately trained and are qualified to perform.
Ensure students receiving services or their legal representatives are informed when services are being provided by support personnel.
Adhere to applicable licensure laws and regulations governing speech-language pathology.
Conduct ongoing competency evaluations of assigned SLPAs.
Accurately document and regularly record direct and indirect supervisory activities.
Develop review and modify treatment plans implemented by SLPAs under supervision.
Make appropriate case management decisions for assigned students.
Fulfill applicable supervisory responsibilities governing Speech-Language Pathologists and SLPAs.
Maintain appropriate professional and supervisory standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
