Job Summary

Accountabilities

• Performs specimen processing by identifying sorting aliquoting centrifuging and labeling biological samples. - 20%
• Performs semi-technical procedures such as calculating weight measuring samples and recording data. - 20%
• Operates laboratory computers to enter and retrieve lab data. - 20%
• Performs account registration and orders tests in the applicable system. - 20%
• Answers telephone inquiries conducting analytical problem solving. Faxes results fields specimen handling questions dispatches couriers and performs other administrative support and lab-related customer service duties. - 20%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job is a non management position that will report to a supervisor manager director or executive.

Minimum Qualifications

Education - High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience - No previous experience is required; Six months of experience in healthcare environment involving computer skills preferred

Other Required Skills/Experience

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Knowledgeable on basic medical terminology (preferred)
