AVSG/VSSOC is growing and we are excited to welcome experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians to our team for part time or relief shifts. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside BoardCertified Criticalists Surgeons Internists and Emergency Clinicians supported by a highly skilled collaborative team of RVTs and veterinary assistants dedicated to outstanding patient care.
- Venipuncture catheter placement and sample collection
- Diagnostic imaging assistance and basic interpretation (radiographs ultrasound support)
- Anesthesia monitoring (vitals depth assessment adjustments)
- Medication calculation and administration (IV IM SQ CRIs)
- Fluid therapy setup and maintenance
- Surgical prep sterile technique and instrument handling
- Patient monitoring (vitals pain scoring trend recognition)
- Nursing care for hospitalized patients (nutrition wound care hygiene)
- Registered Veterinary Technician required
- 2 years working in a veterinary clinic
- Emergency or Specialty experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long term relationships with colleagues clients and the community we serve
- Reliable organized and committed to provide high level care to our patients and clients
- A craving for lifelong learning and continuous improvements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected

- Shifts in ECC and Surgery / Anesthesia
- $30.00 - $45.00 an hour
- Based on skillset experience and credentials (RVT or VTS)
- Shift differentials for swings overnights and weekends
