Special hazards fire suppression systems protect environments where water cannot be used. This is specialized high-demand work that blends mechanical electrical and life-safety systems into one technical career path.

What Youll Do

  • Assist with installation of clean agent and specialty fire suppression systems
  • Install piping cylinders nozzles detection devices and releasing panels
  • Run and terminate low-voltage wiring
  • Read blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Perform inspections testing and troubleshooting
  • Ensure systems meet safety codes and manufacturer standards
Requirements

What Were Looking For

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and battery-operated tools
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using mobile applications
  • Customer service mindset with clear communication skills
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and on-call when needed
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Experience with mining vehicle fire suppression systems is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit stand kneel crouch or stoop for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces climbing ladders and working at heights
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 70 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in varied indoor and outdoor environments
